Champagne, Gray, and Pink Diamond Studded Paisley Ankle Boots

It is not every day that we get to see diamond studded ankle boots, and it certainly isn’t every day that these diamonds happen to be fancy color diamonds including champagne, gray, and pink diamonds set in a stunning paisley design. This is why the stunning pair of black leather ankle boots has made such headlines in the diamond world.

A total of 1,550 carats of polished diamonds from the Diarough/UNI-Design Company based in Antwerp were embedded into the luxurious boots by designers A.F. Vandevorst and Filip Arickx in honor of the Business of Design Week in Hong Kong. The event is highlighting Belgian creativity, and this pair of remarkable shoes certainly does it justice.

Creating the Boots

An inconceivable 30,000 hours of human work was required to create the diamond pieces of art. An astounding 39,083 diamonds needed to be set by a team at the India-based UNI-Design manufacturing plant. The cross-shaped logo, belonging to A.F. Vandevorst, was made from incredibly rare reddish-pink diamonds. The unique pair of diamond boots is currently up for sale although the asking price is unknown.

Other Diamond Studded Shoes

Though we have seen diamond covered shoes before, we have not come across something as unusual as these color diamond ankle boots. There have mainly been diamond-encrusted heels such as the pair recently handmade by Kathryn Wilson. That pair included 21.8 carats of diamonds. Other examples are the Leon Verres diamond shoes, the famous Borgezie Stilettos, and Stuart Weizman’s Retro Rose Pumps. However, none of those pairs use as many diamonds or diamond carats as this pair of boots, nor do they include anywhere near as many color diamonds.

Every so often an unusual diamond piece surfaces, causing an enormous amount of attention. When that item is something other than your typical pair of earrings, necklace, bracelet, or ring, the attention is only magnified. Add the unusual color diamond factor into the equation and you have got an unforgettable item that will surely remain deeply ingrained in people’s minds for years to come.
