Rita Ora (and Her Diamonds) Steal the Show

The GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2014 were recently held at the Royal Opera House, with a bevy of A-listers walking the red carpet, including Pharrell Williams, Kim Kardashian, and Peter Capaldi. However, it was British singer, songwriter and actress, Rita Ora wearing about $1 million worth of bespoke diamonds who possibly stole the show.

Ora, the meaning of which is “light” in Hebrew, sure did radiate plenty of light in a fifty carat diamond tennis bracelet and ten carat diamond cocktail ring. It was the perfect accompaniment to her figure-hugging Zuhair Murad Fall 2014 couture gown. The thigh-high side split of the stunning sequined gown together with the diamond jewelry was an unbeatable combination. Exorbitant dresses seems to be in fashion, for example this $6.5 million wedding gown Julien MacDonald presented in the Royal Opera House during London Fashion Week.

However, perhaps the crowning touch were the 15 carat diamond drop earrings that were shown off to best effect as Rita’s hair was scraped back into a side plait. Rita displayed Old Hollywood style in a way that would have made the old Hollywood sirens gasp in appreciation.
