The Kahn Canary Diamond

The (still) uncut, flawless, natural triangular pillow shaped with strong yellow color Kahn Canary was discovered by George Stepp of Carthage, Arkansas in 1977 at Crater of Diamonds State Park, Arkansas. It was sold by Stepp to Stan Kahn of Kahn Jewelers who is still the owner of the diamond.

The stone was worn by Hillary Rodham Clinton to wear at her husband's inaugurals, both as Governor of Arkansas, and as President of the United States. It is considered to be an unofficial state symbol for Arkansas and is currently mounted in a custom-designed ring worn by Mrs. Clinton at the 1993 Inaugural.

Crater of Diamonds State Park is the world's only publicly-owned diamond site where visitors may search for diamonds and other gems and keep what they find, regardless of the value of the stone. It is one of the state's bigger tourist attractions.
