The saying is almost as old as the city itself – what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Well perhaps not always.
Celebrities are renowned for extravagant marriage proposals and it seems as though DJ Ashba of Guns N’ Roses fame was not going to let the celebrity side down. Ashba, 40, proposed to Colombian actress and model Nathalia Henao, 21, back in August and his proposal had a little assistance from the boys in blue.
Ashba posted an Instagram photo with the caption, “Special [thanks] to the Las Vegas Police Dept. for the most amazing helicopter private tour over Vegas!” He then added, “We landed in a field at police headquarters where I had a table set up covered in roses [and] a bottle of the bubble stuff.” Well this is taking the old police motto of “To Protect and to Serve” to new levels of “service”.
The Las Vegas Police Department has reported that, “An internal affairs investigation has been initiated to determine if any department policies or regulations were violated in granting this ride-along.”
